There is also more choice than ever before for those who need reading and distance prescriptions with more and more people now opting for the convenience of varifocal lenses.
High Index Lenses are made from denser than normal versions of glass or plastic to give a thinner lens in higher powers. There is a range of lenses available and we can calculate which will give the best cosmetic result.
We supply a range of varifocal lenses including those by Zeiss and Nikon. Our dispensing opticians will recommend a varifocal lens appropriate to your particular visual requirements.
There is a range of coatings available to enhance the performance of your lenses, such as anti-reflection and scratch-resistant coatings. Lenses can be tinted to various degrees of darkness and in a variety of colours. Light- sensitive lenses are also available which darken in sunlight and lighten when indoors.
